Windows screenshots
Steam has a trial version which covers the first part of the game. This is its menu screen
There are EXTRAS to be unlocked by playing the game, these are NOTR unlocked by playing the Trial Version
The game's configuration options
The has an introduction in which two strangers on a train start talking and this leads to one of them telling the story of Adabana Odd Tales
After the introduction there's a slide show while a song plays
The game starts with a girl, dressed all in white, awakes in a forest and is saved from an attack by a brush wielding stranger
Once they reach safety The boy introduces himself as Kurofude and he tells the girl her name is Shirohime
There is an option to review recent dialogue and even to skip to it
The game has a manual save option that appears to have many many save slots. The screen indicates that there are Quick Save and an Auto Save options but I di not use these
This is the first story in the game
Kurofude and Shirohime enter the first story
This is the storybook. Parts have been eaten by bookworms so the story cannot be told. These are called 'distortions' and it is the task of Kurofude and Shirohime to correct these
This is a bookworm. When captures Shirohime can turn it back into ink so that Kurofude can rewrite the word and restore the story
Kurofude rewrites a word, this is the symbol for 'dog'
After restoring the word to the book the story can continue
The ink of the different words have a different feel and effect on Shirohime
This is how the game presents choices
There are times when Shirohime is overwhelmed
Sometimes there are monsters and where thee are monsters there's the possibility of a bad ending
The end of the Trial Version
