Mission of Vengeance

Mission of Vengeance is a graphical adventure for the TRS-80 CoCo

You are Garrotte Severrin, master thief, spy, and assassin. One night, while routinely sitting along in a tavern, you were approached by two men clad in grey robes and hoods - priests of the Temple of Dah. One of the priests furtively dropped a heavy pouch of coins on your lap and said that if you wanted more to come to Cemetery Hill at midnight.

At the hill you were greeted by three dark figures, with hoods pulled down concealing their faces. It was the high Priest who spoke first, "The wizard Meemon has defiled our temple, stealing from us a sacred relic - the holy scepter of Tash. If you kill this infidel and return the scepter to us we will give you a fortune in gold."

That night, you steal away to the Black Swamp, where Meemon's fortress was hidden. You silently scale one of the towers and begin your search for the relic and the wizard.

The player inputs commands via VERB NOUN entry, and all areas are graphically displayed on the screen. There is a save and restore feature. The player tries to solve a variety of inventory based puzzles. There is a basic combat system, where the player and enemy take turns swinging at each other until one is destroyed.
