Krakout
- Krakout (1987 on Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, MSX...)
Description
Krakout is a remake of a game with the same name released in 1987. As in the original, the player controls a paddle placed on the right side of the screen and the goal is to clear a field of bricks. Bricks, once destroyed, produce items both helpful and harmful, like decreasing/increasing the paddle or making the ball move through the bricks without bouncing back.
The mouse is used to control the paddle, but there are several hotkeys to modify the gameplay, such as showing or hiding bonus items, increasing the music volume or switching the field's background.
The shareware version is limited to a few levels, and the text "unregistered version" is shown throughout the whole game. Cheat codes are only included in the full version.
