Sam Diamond, P.I.: Case of the Switch Blade Slasher is a text adventure for the TRS-80 CoCo.

Coastal City is being terrorized by the Switchblade Slasher. Ironically, the latest victim was a free lance photographer who had accepted an assignment to photograph the slasher for the Central City Tabloid Press.

Citizens are afraid to venture outside their dwellings for fear of becoming the next victim. The city is close to panic. Streets are nearly deserted and traffic sparse. Pressure is mounting on the police to solve the crimes, yes the police are baffled. Finally, in desperation, the civic leaders meet to discuss the problem. After lengthy and acrimonious debate, they decide to hire the world famous Sam Diamond, private investigator.

The player takes on the role of Sam Diamond, as he tries to solve the case. All commands are via text entry, and all locations are graphically displayed on the screen. There is a save and restore feature.
