Colorpede

Colorpede is a 1-player Centipede clone for the TRS-80 CoCo.

The player moves a small shooter on the bottom few lines of the screen, and fires directly upwards. The player navigates a field of toadstools, and tries to shoot and destroy the colorpedes that approach from the top of the screen. Colorpedes move horizontally across the screen until they hit an obstacle, move down 1 row, and reverse direction. The player must contend with the bouncing bug that moves about the bottom of the screen, the beetle which falls from the top of the screen, and the stinger that travels across the screen creating poisoned mushrooms. The player starts with 3 shooters, and a new shooter is awarded every 10,000 points. The player proceeds to a more difficult stage when all colorpedes are destroyed.
