Castle Zhagwhar

Castle Zhagwhar is a 1-player arcade game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

In a different time far away, the small magical kingdom of Lithana is thriving. It is a peaceful kingdom with a just king on the throne, a good economy, and happy people. One day an evil wizard arrives at an odd, abandoned fortress outside the kingdom, called Castle Zhagwar. He wants to rule Lithana, so begins transforming entire forests into gigantic armies of goblins to attack the kingdom. The king sends a decree throughout the kingdom requesting help defeating the wizard. Finally, after many weeks, a strong, yet unskilled woodcutter named Gwydion appears to take on the quest.

The controls a small character who can move horizontally, jump, climb ladders, and duck. On each level, the player tries to collect gold and the key, and bring the key to the door to move to the next level. The player has limited life, which is lost by falling or touching enemies. If the player jumps onto a ladder, it breaks and is lost permanently. As time passes, life begins to decrease, but randomly discovered healing elixirs can restore health. The ultimate goal is to reach the wizard and defeat him.
