Conquering Armies

Conquering Armies is a realtime strategy war game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

You are Crown Prince and heir to the throne of Glasco. Your country was invaded, and 6 of its 7 states have fallen under the control of enemy forces. The King, your father, was slain in the attack. You have a small army at Abby on Avon, and the aid of allied countries. You must now take your country back from the invaders.

A game of medieval warfare, Glasco is divided into 7 states, each ruled by a castle. There are 4 surrounding border areas. 1 - 3 of these border areas will be allied with the player depending upon difficulty level. Each castle continuously produces knights, light cavalry, men-at-arms, and archers. The player raises armies at castles, and can march them to other locations to engage enemy forces and castle. Armies can be reinforced by moving them into allied border areas.

The player can review their states and the armies currently stationed there. The player can raise up to 5 armies at a time. Enemies consistently send larger armies to engage. During combat, player and enemy units are displayed, while these units are defeated over several rounds of combat.

There are 50 levels of difficulty.
