DOS version

Simon returns, and enters puberty...

The Good
Simon is back, and as my title suggests, he most definitely HAS entered puberty. The first game, which was a good game in its own right, had Simon as a younger kid with a dry wit, but now he has become a teenager with a terrible sense of style (the ponytail!), and also is going through a stage of being generally mean-spirited and with a dry wit...causing hilarious results!

I'm not completely sure if Simon 2 is better than the first game, but either way, it's definitely funnier! All of the characters are back, including the evil wizard Sordid... the Swampling now owns a Mcdonalds-esque fast-food joint, where millions pay money to eat the disgusting swamp food, Calypso owns a magic shop, and the demons , Gerald and Max, in MY opinion the funniest characters, are still the same..."Like, yeah". :)

Somehow, Simon himself still manages to remain a likable character, even with that ponytail and...other things. After all, he isn't that far off from a standard teenager...

The Bad
Brian Bowles' voice as Simon. It doesn't fit, and sounds like an adult. They should have just gotten Chris Barrie from the first game to return, he IS Simon's voice.

Also, some of the game's puzzles are just...illogical.

The Bottom Line
Simon The Sorcerer 2 is a good follow up, and a good game in its own right, too.
