One of the many reasons to buy the system

The Good
The gameplay of this game is very simple: collect cards, battle and become the best. But what makes this stand out over, say, the Pokemon TCG for the Game Boy, is the quality of each card and the depth of the card game itself. Each card is crafted to each character represented, which is a massive list from both the Capcom and SNK line-ups, including what seems like every character from Arthur in Ghosts & Goblins, to Rockman/Megaman, to Felicia from Darkstalkers and every character from the Street Fighter army. Each character is drawn to really take advantage of the NGPC's screen, with eye-popping detail that was so much better than anything I've seen on the Game Boy.

The game itself is very simple to pick up early on, and with a nice learning curve to help the player develop their strategies and combat the AI's technique. It's the kind of game that needs to be experienced, because just speaking about how easy it is to become engrossed can't get the point across properly.

The Bad
The only qualm I have about this game is the translation. SNK is known for having... interesting... translating issues, and this game is riddled with odd dialog and English errors from punctuation and even missing some words in sentences.

The Bottom Line
Like my title says, this is a game worth buying the system for. This system has enough stand-out titles that the system's worth buying anyone, but in a line-up of great games this stands all the taller. A full RPG based around a card game? You bet'cha!
