Description

Sonic Adventure: Sonic2k - Treasure Hunt is event data that could be downloaded to the player's VMU for use in Sonic Adventure. Meant to tie in with a real-world contest that was only available in the United States, it was only available from November 26, 1999 to December 17, 1999, and it adds a new mission for Knuckles. Two Dreamcast/AT&T signs, one in front of SS Central Station and the other in the grass next to the Cyber-Net Inc. building, tell the player to head to the Mystic Ruins. Once there, touching the "START" plate on the train platform begins a timer, set for five minutes, and the player must start digging in the immediate area to search for treasure, while signs scattered around give hints to the treasure's location. Once four treasures are found, the player must touch the "FINISH!" plate on the other side of the train platform to record their time and save the game.
