Alley Cats

Moby ID: 199627

Description

Alley Cats is a mouse-controlled one-player bowling game with a pin-up twist. The goal is to knock down as many pins as you can. Scored points can then be spent to 'interact' with girls that hang around the alley.

The game itself consists of three bowling alleys that must be completed in sequential order. The alleys are not notably different in terms of graphics or difficulty. The alley girls, Candy, Rachel or Elizabeth, can keep you company if you wish, but apart from reading out one-liners depending on how many points you score, they do not affect the gameplay. The bowling alley is viewed from a diagonal down-perspective, with the points, pindicator and selected throw-style displayed on top. Click the throw-style you want to use - Straight, Hook, Curve or Backup, hold down the mouse button and move it up to throw a ball. Moving the mouse in a straight vertical line always results in a Strike.

Between the bowling games you can enter the Pro-shop where you can buy better shoes to increase your score, view high-resolution pictures of the girls, or watch striptease previews.

Having completed the three alleys, a pin-up room opens where you spend your points on viewing striptease acts of the girls. These are basically low-res Apple Quicktime movies that can also be viewed from a Windows file folder. Having spent all your points, you return to the bowling alleys for a new game.
