Alarmingly the game starts up in what I assume is Simplified Chinese
There's a setting in the configuration options that changes the language. Once the language has been changed the main menu will be in English now and when the game restarts
The novel starts with a murder, several murders in fact, as the church window is shattered letting the sunlight in on a ceremony and killing the vampires
This is a reporter, Aiden, who is clearly female yet often gets referred to by the words 'he' or 'his'. She is being given an assignment - the philanthropist who built the church
First impressions are that there are some good analogies and ideas in this novel but they get lost in the poor translation
This is Talisa. She is a young human witch. The punctuation flaws and odd translation are starting to show
Talisa is out at night to harvest vervain, a herb that is harmful to vampires. Again the translation is not good
While harvesting the herbs Talisa comes across an apparently resurrected wolf girl with the name 'Morgan' on her collar
There is a gallery of key scenes
There's a manual save/Load process
There is an in-game map which pops up every so often. Only the locations where there are characters to talk to are active
When all activities for a day have been completed the calendar is used to advance the game
Aiden, one of the main characters, is a journalist so occasionally newspaper articles appear. These are not translated
