Space Trek / Reversi

Space Trek / Reversi is a collection of two strategy games for the Dragon 32/64.

Reversi is played on an 8 x 8 board versus the computer. Each player takes turns placing one of two colored pieces on the board. The player gains any pieces on the board their opponent has between their two pieces. The player with the most pieces at the end of the game is the victor. There are four levels of computer difficulty. Commands are via entering column and row.

Space Trek is a Star Trek variant where the player is commander of the Federation flagship USS Dragon. The player must destroy all the Trojans in the galaxy in a given time. The player has control of the battle computer, navigation, range scanner, and shield energy control.

The battle computer automatically fires at enemy Trojans when the USS Dragon is correctly positioned against enemy vessels. Navigation involves warp drive, which allows movement between quadrants on a 10 x 10 grid, and impulse, which allows low speed travel within an individual quadrant. The range scanner allows detection of the contents of distant quads with a range up to seven. Shield controls allows movement of energy from reserves to shields. If shields drop to 0 the ship is destroyed. Star bases allow the player to recharge energy. Planets can be mined for dilithium crystals to recharge bases. Black holes take the player to another quadrant without the use of navigation.

There are four levels of difficulty, and the player can choose their mission from a randomized galaxy and number of enemy ships and time to complete their mission.
