Description

Journey to the Center of Phobos is an adventure and arcade game for the Dragon 32/64.

Having committed several interplanetary crimes, Dr. Bugeyes has been thrown into a solar prison dug out of the asteroid Ceres. He is now holding the entire solar system ransom with a gravity bomb that, if allowed to go off, will draw matter into itself until it becomes the gravitational center of the solar system.

The player starts in an arcade sequence, where they must land on one of the four landing pads in the space scene. If they run out of fuel, it's game over. After landing, the player must explore the underground tunnels. These are explored by moving up, down, and in the four cardinal directions. The player's progress is hampered by robots and the corrosive elements, and the player has limited oxygen and energy for their travels. After reaching the center of Phobos, the player must defuse the gravity bomb by deciphering the code word. The player must then reach their spaceship at their original landing point to escape to safety.
