Transmission

Transmission is the 2019 edition of Google's annual puzzle in which the company announces the dates of its annual developers' conference, I/O. This year's game was launched on Twitter, leading players to a site containing a video with cryptic images and music. The puzzle required some detective work and programming knowledge to solve. However, the date was revealed on Twitter less than one hour after its reveal without solving the puzzle, thanks to a JSON file in the same folder as the video, which contained the dates in plain text: May 7–9. While the company eventually removed the information from the folder, the date had already been disseminated by news sites.
