Windows screenshots
The title screen and main menu. The colour of the smudge across the centre of the screen slowly changes
The game configuration options
The simulation configuration screen. When the start button is pressed a LOADING message is displayed for quite a while
So here I am. It is 14:13. I cannot start yet because the doors are open and I am not supposed to leave until 14:15. People walk about on the platform, all seems normal
I should have left by now, instead I've made it rain. What buttons do I use to start this train!!!
Aha! Sadly I could not see how to start the train but I could see that F1 triggers the AI driver
With the AI driver helping just a little bit I was able to start the train
The view from the right window was reasonable
The view from the left cab window as not that helpful
Pulling into the first station. I let the AI driver do this just so I could see if it was any good - it was. I was surprised that the train started slowing down for a station when it was around 1km away
The train has cameras but these are only used in the station
The green lights on many overhead signals wobble a lot. I suspect they have been overlaid with some CGI jiggery-pokery so that they can be turned red by the game to simulate a hazard
The stations on other train sims I have played may be well modelled but they don't look real. Here the poses of the people, the way their clothes move and a thousand other little visual cues make this look so much better, a bit soft focus but better
I was able to drive out of Three Bridges station on the way to Gatwick before I was stopped
Are we missing some important screenshots?
