Description
Protector is a 1-player arcade game for the Dragon 32/64.
Somewhere on the edge of the galaxy lies a planet threatened with invasion of alien craft. The player is the sole defender of the human population, as they sweep the skies with their sensors to locate and destroy the aliens before they carry off the player's charges to who knows what fate.
The player controls a ship that moves in all directions, and fires directly forwards. As alien ships approach, they fire towards the player. Aliens ships try to swoop in and grab people positioned at the bottom of the screen, and the player must shoot them before the humans are lost. The ship is armed with three smart bombs which destroy all enemies on the screen. The ship can also hyper-warp to another location on the screen at any time. If the player is shot down three times, or all humans are lost, it's game over. The player moves to the next level when all aliens are destroyed.
