New main menu screen.
Campaign selection. There are a few additions alongside the new story.
Campaign intro.
All of Shelly's achievements from the previous game are undone, and she is drowning her problems in cheap whiskey.
Heskel is at it again, but Shelly is prepared as well!
Title card.
Just like in the original game, the story starts in a bar attacked by Heskel's minions.
The background story as told by the in-game help screen -- Duke Nukem style.
The bar's interior. You can guess that an erupting volcano is going to be a major part of the story.
This secret area must be a reference to something, but I don't get it.
Help yourself to some beer to restore your strength.
Secret passages often allow to blindside enemies.
Yes, that's a fully functional pool table (Shelly appears to be using telekinesis to play though).
Many weapons have alternate ammo now, here's what a gas grenade looks like.
An inflatable chair, you can use it to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
Meet the secondary antagonist, General Rocco "The Rock" Rockford.
Shelly visits a construction site in the second level.
Getting through here will involve some demolition works.
A closer look at the giant ball, plus some new hazards in the form of mines shown in the background.
The inflatable chair in all its voxely glory.
This new grey-coloured priest fires energy balls that do massive damage.
There's also a new brand of flying quadcopter heads, coloured yellow.
Grey cultists are armed with submachine guns like Shelly's Penetrator. This is Arrange Mode, so she is blond here.
In Arrange Mode, original Ion Fury levels are mirrored or otherwise altered, and new enemies and weapons are present.
A view of the construction area from above.
General The Rock is so unhappy he fire Shelly from the GDF. Not that it will stop her.
The new cybernetic heads that explode when they get close (or not).
The fabulous hoverbike that we're about to "acquire".
The bike's weapon is so powerful you won't have much trouble even with the toughest of enemies.
The second episode's first level is one big hoverbike race against time - with lots of Heskel's minions and other hazards along the way.
You'll be doing this a lot.
Gen. Rockford sends out some pretty tough GDF soldiers after Shelly.
The episode ends with a shmup-style boss battle in third-person view.
After the bike is wrecked, Shelly gets this new weapon as a souvenir.
