Hooked!

Description

Hooked! is a 1–2 player fishing game for the Dragon 32/64.

The player controls a fisherman at the left of the screen, while two large fish swim in the water to the right. The player attempts to position the rod tip over a fish's head, and then sets the depth of the cast. The rod length and depth will constantly change, adding challenge to the cast.

If the line casts into the bottom, the line becomes snagged. At which time the man stands up. The player must enter a number from 1–10. Too high, and the line breaks. Too low, the player can try again. Three low guesses also leads to the line breaking, and the player loses time re-tackling.

A successful cast leads to a landing net being placed in the water. The player must guide the fish into the net. If the fish is brought too close to the surface, too close to the frame of the landing net, or into the weeds, the line might break and the fish escapes.

The player can choose from three difficulty levels, moving or stationary fish, and timed game or unlimited play. The player receives points for the size and number of fish caught.
