Martian War
- Martian War (1980 on Wang 2200)
Description
The Martians are invading Earth and innocent civilians are being annihilated. Your job is to defend our human population and fend off the onslaught. Martian War is a remake of a Wang 2200 game by the same title. Players move their fighter ship left and right just off the ground, above a number of pedestrians and shoot aliens flying above, killing people. There is a finite number of enemy ships and a finite number of humans, but players have an infinite number of lives. However, each time you sustain a hit, you suffer a time penalty where aliens roam about unopposed. If all people are annihilated you lose, but if you shoot down all aliens before that happens, you win. The game runs on text-only 80 column mode and uses only text characters and symbols.
