Cinema Tycoon Gold is a game where you get a chance to manage your very own cinema. There are three game modes, each with their own goals: Mogul, Megaplex Star and Cinema Czar. The goal in the Mogul mode is to either bank 1.000.000 cash as fast as you can. The goal in the Megaplex Star mode is to build 8 screens as fast as you can. The goal in the Cinema Czar mode is to work your way to the Cinema Czar rank.

When you start playing, you must choose a site for your theater. You can choose the site of your theater to be at Suburbs, Warehouse District or Downtown. When the site of your theater is chosen, your cinema will officially open. Daily News will keep you updated about activities. Films is where you choose and review films that will be played while also checking on how they perform, choose the big hits that are hot and avoid the flops that aren't hot, and keep your eye open on remaining days for your film to play at cinema, for when a current film you choose to be played expires, you will need to pick another one.

To make your customers happier, you can also buy upgrades like better projectors, more screens, snack bar, comfier seats, louder sound system, advertising, and more. You can hire team to improve management of your cinema. Also remember to hype your customers with promotions and to watch for competition.
