Zarm

Zarm is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player is commander of the ZARM craft, which is trying to land on a planet's surface in order to collect five survivors. Numerous obstacles move horizontally across the screen. The mother ship moves laterally across the top of the screen, and the player times their exit. The player then controls their ship left and right, as well as vertical thrust, as gravity constantly pulls the ship downwards.

They must slowly land on one of the four landing pads without hitting any dangers to load a single survivor. The player must then head to the awaiting mothership while avoiding the many new dangers. This needs to be repeated five times to rescue all five survivors. The player starts with three ships.
