There's no clever animated introduction with this game, just this, the company logos and then straight into either the game configuration screen or the main menu

The first time the game is played the player is directed to this configuration screen before they see the main menu. Thereafter they go to the main menu where this is an option

The player can play in just about any ice hockey league on any continent.

The Newcastle Vipers are the chosen team, but the player has not yet taken control.<br>There is so much data and so many ways to view it all.

This is the screen where the player reviews messages. The player has taken control of the club so there's the usual messages of welcome and expectation

Waivers are a way of making a player's contract available to other teams. Once again there are a multitude of options to be considered

QMJHL means Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Just one of the amateur leagues whose players are available for selection by the club

It's Sept 6th 2003, the Newcastle Vipers do not play until the 20th. This is one of the pre-season international competitions that the player can watch or even take charge of a team
