Steer through the Suez Canal is a simulation created by CNN to illustrate how difficult it is to navigate a ship through the Suez Canal between the Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea. Players must control a ship's speed and direction through an illustration of the canal, steering it around the curves and avoiding a collision with the side. The game was inspired by the incident where a container ship, the Ever Given, was stuck in the Suez Canal for six days, blocking international shipping traffic.
