Description

Ruffian 2 is a chess game which combines the interface and feature set of ChessPartner (v5.3) with the chess engine Ruffian (v2.0.2 and v2.1.0). This engine was initially freeware and was used in various commercial games since version 2.0, hence the name. The engine includes multivaration (a match analysis tool) and Nalimov endgame tables.

This release also features the engine for Macintosh and Linux, but they are not compatible with the ChessPartner interface and have to played with the third-party tool XBoard (not included).
