Corporate Climber

Corporate Climber is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro and Electron.

The player controls budding new executive Fred 'the Duck' Wayne, who wishes to control the company. To succeed, the player must guide him to the top of the building, where he may be relieved of the "pressures" of management.

On the way to the top he gains status by moving up through the departments. Fred must collect six separate items, each one granting the player an additional life. As the player moves across each floor, he must avoid the 'flying' Taxman who moves up and down between floors. Fred will lose a life and be sent back to the start of the floor if he touches the Taxman. The quicker a player crosses a floor, the greater bonus they receive. However, if they fail to reach the end of a floor before their bonus expires, then their blood pressure will increase. If blood pressure gets too high, it's instant game over. The final goal is to reach the executive bathroom. After completing a level, the next level has a smaller playing area, increasing the difficulty. There are three levels of difficulty.
