Warlord of Doom

Warlord of Doom is a text adventure for the BBC Micro.

Before the Warlord came, the valley was a place of peace and harmony. But then came the evil Warlord, who cast a spell over the inhabitants of the valley, and overnight the valley became a place of death. The people consulted with the druids and the mystics, who divined that the Warlord's soul and body had been separated, and that the soul must first be found and destroyed before the warlord could be defeated. The people of the valley chose Tumblestone, the greatest warrior the valley had ever produced, to be their savior.

The player controls Tumblestone as he explores the many locations around and inside the Warlord's castle. The player deals with knights, dragons, giants, mazes, and other dangers to try to complete their quest. All commands are via VERB NOUN entries. The program is divided into two parts, finding the Warlord's soul, and then defeating the Warlord himself. There is a save/restore feature.
