The title screen shows fish swimming around and eating one another.
Before each level, you will see the world map and a description and hint about the next level.
Those radioactive barrels are one of the obstacles you face as you try eating the smaller fish.
Sharks will often swim by and eat everything in their way.
Here, you can choose to take the harder path (up), or the easier path (down).
Clams have pearls in them that will give bonus points and can help you grow larger. Avoid getting eaten when grabbing the pearls, though.
That hunter medusa (large jellyfish) can paralyze you for a short time, but is harmless otherwise. Eat enough of those yellow fish and you will get an extra life.
After completing a level, you can see the number of fish you ate.
