Universe was one of the most expensive games around at its time, with a whopping retail price of $89.95 in 1983 U.S. dollars. Inflation-adjusted to 2021 dollars, this is $251.79 (!). You could also purchase the Complete Product Guide to the game for another $15 ($41.99 in 2021 dollars). It did include a really nice quality 3-hole punch folio with the game documentation, and in which you could add additional notes (or that product guide you shelled out for).
