ZX Spectrum screenshots
Load screen. This looks so like Marble Madness Construction Set' it's uncanny. They've even left the tile construction panel on the right
This is the game menu.
Re-definable keys - though these map to the arrow keys on the numeric keypad and suited me just fine
The game starts with the track appearing from the bottom of the screen, lie an iceberg rising from the deep
We're off. The ball is manouvered using the arrow keys. This is not precision steering, it's more like influencing the direction the marble will roll next
Get to the end of a screen within a set time and there's a bonus. I think screen one is deliberately easy, a bit of a teaser to keep you playing when other screens seem tough
Screen 2 is tricky and I'm about to go down a hole. The game restarts back at the top of this screen so there's no need to replay screen 1... yet
Screen 3. more hazards to avoid and a great big hole to fall into. The timer on the left a counts down timer how much time I have before forfeiting the screen bonus
Now there's a hazard I did not expect. There's a level change that's hidden from view until you actually hit it! That's another life gone.
Another hazard. That hammer has just smashed my marble, though I don't think it was anywhere near me!
Game over The counter on the left is my score for this run, just 100 bonus.
