Gulo's Tale

A thousand years ago, Akhuna, goddess of the rainforest, transformed all of the gulos into stone, because they ate all the fruit and weakened her powers. They were also her servants and guardians, and now the forest has been intruded by strange creatures. The rainforest is dying, and Akhuna revives a single gulo to collect fruits and rid the forest of the intruders.

Gulo's Tale is an anime-styled side-scrolling platform game. Playing as Gulo, you have to complete levels by gathering the indicated amount of fruits. Levels are accessed through a world map, and statues of your fellow gulos provide the missions. After a completed mission, the statue turns from blue to red and you can continue. Gulo can only jump and create bubbles. These can be picked up and thrown at enemies - an alternate way of killing them next to a jump from above - or serve as temporary platforms. They only last a little while, so you have to be quickly. There are different settings and you can pick up power-ups that grant invincibility. Beat your best times in the time attack mode and unlock hidden levels.
