The game starts with the player driving up to the start line. A 3 - 2 - 1 - countdown starts the race

Using the Sinclair Joystick, forward takes the player higher, down goes lower, the FIRE key accelerates and the space bar fires. Going higher also seems to mean going slower

After a crash, in this case into a pylon, the racer restarts from the same point and gives a cheery one or two fingered to the scenery

I think this is the end of the race. The racer stopped. All the energy lights are flashing randomly, and a computer controlled racer just flew by and crashed.

If left alone for long enough the game goes into a demo mode which shows lots of riders happily competing together - not a shot being fired
