Black Sect
Description official description
Black Sect is a point-and-click adventure game based on the 1990 French CPC title La secte noire. It shares the original premise of a sect stealing a book of spells, but it is now set in England in the Yorkshire Moors instead of a French village in the Dordogne. The game is not a remake as everything except for the basic premise is new and different from the original title. The player's character needs to get the book back using exploration and by solving puzzles. The entire control system using icons with the mouse is also new, as the original title used text input.

Trivia
English translation
The game was only released in French on all platforms. But inside the code, a non-finished English translation was hidden, which was first restored and finished by scener Klapauzius on the Atari ST and then included in the DOS versions, which both can now be played in English, too.
Graphics
The graphics were all drawn by hand with DeluxePaint on PC and Amiga.

This game sold only about 3000 copies.
Remake
A remake was made in Adventure Game Studio and can be downloaded for free on https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1578/.
