Stronghold Legends

Criticism

In the German gaming magazine GameStar (issue 04/2009), FireFly Studios' Stronghold Legends was named as one of the "10 Most Terrible Sequels", because the game focuses on the series' weak point, the combat, while cutting back the strong building part. Despite the developer's promises to polish the engine, the graphics are outdated.

Online servers

The game's online servers which were hosted on GameSpy were scheduled to shut down on 31 May 2014 in the wake of GameSpy's total closure.
