A good game to learn dogfighting, or even just learning to fly.

The Good
Very playable, you can choose "no enemies" or "unarmed enemies" for practice. There are 2 player options for the ultimate opponent, modem or direct connect w data transfere cable via serial ports. There are also bombing missions, escort missions, even stafeing missions. Large map of trench erea of France. A good image of WW1. You can get into the scenario of a WW1 figter pilot.

The Bad
Unrealistic flight model, especially when flying an Arco DH-2. Behavior of enemy aircraft became predictable. Won't work under a DOS propt in any version of windows, must have DOS 6.22 or earlier.

The Bottom Line
The game to learn dogfighting, but is playable and fun while learning. Skills honed in this game prepare you for other air combat games. A good joystick is a must; you can fly with arrow keys, but you can't stay on the enemies' tail that way.

I haven't been the same since

The Good
Well, I was a amiga boy until the Playstation but this game had me going for years... I mean, fighting WW1 aces. Red Baron? No thanks, I'm still looking for a PC version even now

The Bad
On the Amiga I had nasty slow down

The Bottom Line
Bloody Classic.
