The Red Star is a third-person action game based on the graphic novel of the same name. The setting is an alternate reality version of the Soviet Union, the United Republics of the Red Star (URRS) where magic and technology co-exist. You can play as one of three character each with different abilities and play styles. The gameplay includes elements of shoot'em up and beat'em up genres, boss fights, weapon upgrades, and more.

Trivia
The Red Star was originally developed for both Xbox and PS2 at Acclaim Studios Austin, but did not make it out the door before Acclaim went under in 2004. By 2006 the game had been picked up by XS Games and eventually it was released in April, 2007 only for the PS2.
