While waiting for the player to select an option from the main menu the game runs an animated demonstration showing how fighting should be done

The options menu allows quite a bit of customisation

The screen size can be changed but ....

... though the resolution is better the new screen does not fill the window area

There are three characters to choose from, this is 'The Warlock' ...

... and this is 'The Trickster'....

.. and finally this is 'The Gladiator'. All characters have their own weapons but the same action keys are used for each of them

Playing as 'The Gladiator'. Here the story starts with him doing one armed push ups while the narrator tells how he went home to see his little sister only to find her dead

This is a very gloomy game. Here the Gladiator is in one of the bright areas so now you see him....

... and now you don't. The number at the bottom of the screen is the health counter. He's just met and defeated a dark elf that moves much faster than him
