Title screen, 4th build (Dungeon Rogue), shareware version (episode 1).
Background story: Heading underground on Jupiter.
Starting out 10 meters below the surface. We encounter the first enemy creatures, rubble crabs.
One of the primary concerns is to collect money, which comes in sacks of copper, silver and gold (and later gems).
Each level contains a shop (blue structure to the left) and a drop shaft to the next level (red tube). The shaft relocates randomly and must be found and tagged.
There are three types of shop: weapons, devices and magic. This is a weapons shop.
Cell plants are an important source of energy, health and oxygen. Our scanner shows that this plant needs 163 more turns until it can be harvested.
Overview map of the level. Optional visual orbs reveal all walls, creatures, plants and treasure on the level.
Each level contains two transporters who are linked to each other as a quick means of travel.
Raw crystals allow you to improve several characteristics, such as weapon proficiencies, sight range or performance speed.
Episode 1 ends at 150 meters with this special room. Behind all the traps and enemies lies the Oxygen Gun, a powerful weapon.
Title screen, original version 1.1 (Reaping the Dungeon), registered (episode 1 + 2).
Episode two goes down up to 650 meters and contains lots of new items (such as the purple gem chest) and enemies (such as the rock giant).
Scanning one of the new creatures, an ancient ogre.
Exploring the level at 370 meters below the surface, surrounded my enemies.
As you descend, the list of magical mushrooms grows. They give helpful short-term bonuses.
Some parts of the level cannot be accessed directly; you have to teleport there or eat a Wall Walk mushroom.
