Poorly.

The Good
'Twinsanity' is one of the best Bandicoot games for the PlayStation 2, so it's nice to see that it has been included in here. I actually didn't know about 'Crash Tag Team Racing' until I picked up this compilation, so I guess I can barely deem that as a nice quality of this collection. The outer package of the compilation is nice, but it could have been designed just a bit nicer.

The Bad
Well, you'd assume that since this compilation included three Bandicoot games, it'd be really nice. Well, it's not. I feel that 'Crash Nitro Kart' has to be one of the worst Bandicoot games, not just for the PlayStation 2, but for the entire series. I won't go into full detail, as I'll review 'Crash Nitro Kart' on its own. Anyway, why would they include two racing games and only one good, solid game? Sure, 'Crash Tag Team Racing' combines both racing and original Bandicoot elements, but it that doesn't mean it can be excused as a Bandicoot game with substance. In all honesty, the Crash Bandicoot racing games have never been all that fun, so why would they include two of the most boring Bandicoot games in the series? I wish they added in 'The Wrath Of Cortex' rather than 'Crash Nitro Kart'. I think if they did that, this might have sold a bit better.

Aside from the games, there's nothing really special here. There's no booklet that explains why they chose these three games or anything unique like that. The games are completely original - nothing has been enhanced, remastered, etc. So what you're ultimately getting with this package is a poorly designed case that houses the three game cases. Oh yeah - not even the game cases have any new designs on them! It's as if someone just got these three games and put them in a poorly designed slipcase.

The Bottom Line
This box set could have done really well with the general public, rather than just fans of Crash Bandicoot. I think that die-hard Crash Bandicoot fans will want this just to have in their collection (that's the reason why I got my copy). Perhaps if they included two strong games (like 'Twinsanity' and 'The Wrath Of Cortex') and only one racing game to fill it ('Crash Tag Team Racing'), it could have been really nice. I can't say that I really like this collection, especially since I don't like the Bandicoot racing games, nor the 'new' Crash Bandicoot. I think 'The Wrath Of Cortex' was the last, great Crash Bandicoot game. It really stuck with the fundamentals of the original Bandicoot games. After 'Nitro Kart', I think the Crash Bandicoot series took a turn for the worst. It's obvious that this compilation was put out just to earn a few dollars - and nothing more. One of the worst items in the Crash Bandicoot catalog, I think.
