PS2 release

The original Japanese PS2 release was plagued by numerous bugs, including easily reproducible crashes, potential memory card corruption, sound problems, and typos. The issues were so bad that Arc System Works released an official statement of apology to their customers. When the next major update of the game, Λ Core Plus, was released, Arc System Works went so far as to put out a so-called "Append Disc" version for those who owned the buggy game, which was sold at a very steep discount: 1980 JPY, or about $20 USD, which was less than half the price of the stand-alone release.

These issues were fixed in subsequent ports and international releases.
