Außerdem begeistert natürlich auch der Mehrspielermodus. Fans des Vorgängers greifen daher sofort zu.

לסיכום, זוהי לא ממש סימולציית טיסה (למרות שזה מה שכתוב על הקופסה), אלא משחק אקשן ואפילו מהנה למדי. יריות ופיצוצים עטופים יפה, עם נופים מוכרים וסכמת שליטה פשוטה למדי. קל להיכנס אליו, וקל לצאת לאחר שעה-שעתיים של הנאה (והזמן ממש טס). לטעמי החוויה יכלה להיות מושלמת בהינתן יותר יריבים אנושיים, מה שכרגע נראה פחות רלוונטי. אם מצב המולטי יתפוס, ערך המשחקיות החוזרת יעלה משמעותית. טיסה נעימה!

Ubisoft Romania has done a great job in making a sequel that one-ups its predecessor in every way, from innovative gameplay in a by-the-books-genre, to a full-bodied multiplayer experience. The lock-on system wades into a grey area, but it sure helps in plowing through the game most of the time. There’s a handful of other “ifs” with things like mission progression, but simply put, it’s an overall enjoyable experience.

Blazing Angels II: Secret Missions of WWII hat sich zum Vorgänger um einiges verbessert. Leider trüben einige negative Aspekte den Spielspaß, wie z.B. ein frei wählbarer Speicherpunkt oder die überlangen Missionen die in einzelne Untermissionen geteilt, jedoch nicht einzeln zu laden sind. Die Steuerung fiel durchschnittlich gut aus und bietet eine einfache Belegung mit übersichtlicher Tastenanzahl. Externe Pads und Joysticks werden ebenfalls unterstützt. Den Sound konnte ich auf Grund meiner PC-Konfiguration nicht testen, da er leider bei mir, trotz aller aktuellen Updates, nicht lief. Der überragende Multiplayer Part bietet alles was das Herz begehrt und noch ein bisschen mehr.

Der zweite Teil beseitigt etliche dieser Kritikpunkte: Die Missionen sind äußerst abwechslungsreich – Flughafen bombardieren, um anschließend darauf zu landen und den Flieger zu wechseln, gegnerische Flieger blenden, um sie zum Absturz zu bringen, in einem Tal entlang fliegen und dabei geschickt Brücken und anderen Hindernissen ausweichen oder feindliche Flieger ungesehen beseitigen –, die Grafik ist (auf der 360) flüssiger und sieht im Allgemeinen besser aus. Nach abgeschlossener Kampagne kann der Online-Multiplayer außerdem immer noch für einige Zeit unterhalten.

Overall, Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII of WWII is a fun game to play and a definite improvement over the original. If you enjoy or are interested in flight based combat games that are simulation heavy, Secret Missions of WWII offers enough fun to make you forget the missteps of the original.

Wie schon bei Teil 1 betrachte ich auch Blazing Angels II mit gemischten Gefühlen. Der Mehrspielermodus und auch die Steuerung wissen zu gefallen und machen eine Menge Spass. Weniger begeistert war ich von der Optik der Flugzeuge, der unrealistischen Story und auch vom öden Missionsaufbau. Zwei Aspekte, die sicher zu einer schlechteren Atmosphäre im Spiel beitragen. Beim Sound gibt es sicher auch noch einiges zu verbessern, sollten die Entwickler an einen dritten Nachfolger denken.

Blazing Angels II Secret Missions of WWII ist ein ganz ordentliches Spiel und für Spieler die dieses Genre mögen und den Vorgänger geliebt haben, stellt es sogar ein echtes Highlight dar. Leider hat Ubisoft zu viele altbekannte Fehler auch im neuen Teil gemacht und allein die Sprachbarriere nimmt ungeübten Spielern sehr schnell jeglichen Spielspaß an der sonst abwechslungsreich gestalteten Kampagne. Dank der 50 Fliegertypen, des neuen Flugzeug-Editors und dem durchweg genialen Multiplayermodus konnte das Spiel dann doch noch bei uns punkten.

Prima, ich bringe bei meinem nächsten Zahnarzttermin meine Tastatur mit und Onkel Doktor kann anhand der Frust-Biss-Spuren Inlays bauen ... Blazing Angels 2 ist stellenweise unfairer als das Leben. Eine Storypräsentation mit Filmchen im Wing Commander-Stil hätte zudem mehr hergemacht als die Comicstrip-Optik, wobei auch noch die deutschen Untertitel oft kaum lesbar sind! Zu den unsterblichen Kampfgenossen baue ich ebenso keine Beziehung auf. Schade, ohne diese Macken wäre das Spiel super. So bleibt "nur" ein "Gut".

Unverständlich erscheint mir außerdem, warum ich nur mit der Simulationssteuerung in der Cockpitansicht fliegen darf.

Если отбросить в сторону постановку и режиссуру, перед нами окажется самый обычный аркадный симулятор. Только вот делать этого категорически не следует. Вся прелесть Blazing Angels 2 именно в зрелищности и ее нарочитой придурковатости. Здесь и только здесь нас порадуют блаженным сюжетом (подумать только — четыре американских летчика помогают СССР защитить Москву от фашистских танков!), позволят за полчаса расстрелять сотню истребителей и потопить десяток кораблей. Только здесь — громадные цеппелины, циклопические самолеты и суперсекретное оружие Рейха. И только здесь — самое несерьезное и самое эпическое приключение времен Второй мировой за последние несколько лет.

Worth Playing (7.5 out of 10) (75%)

If you enjoy flight games, can still stomach WWII-themed titles and are willing to step away from the single-player campaign when the later missions make you start grinding the enamel off your molars — better yet, if you'll forego the campaign mode altogether — Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII is well worth your time for a different sort of deeper, involved multiplayer flight game; although, fair warning, it's impossible to know how long even a cult-like online following will last. However, should you like a pick-up-and-play, blast-and-run airborne version of a first-person shooter, you'll probably turn up your nose at Blazing Angels 2.

Boasting fantastic locales from Cairo to the Himalayas and strange experimental fighters never seen in the history books, the titular secret missions in question are pretty unbelievable. The exaggerated weapons and battles are actually the most exciting and engrossing aspect of the title; much of Blazing Angels 2 veers heavily into frustration and obfuscation.

Still, there's a lot of creativity at play here, something I'd much rather see than other stale WWII rehash. I'm also very pleased to see some extremely robust multiplayer offerings in place, from solo competitive dogfights, to epic team-based objective games and even a large portion of the campaign for four-player co-op. Even with the frustration, that may be enough to bring a few players in the door who might otherwise skip this altogether. A little more user-friendliness and I might join that crowd.

The hard dose of reality for wanna-be console top guns is there just aren’t many flying games coming out these days. What the genre really needs is a next-gen Crimson Skies, but the sad fate of FASA Interactive makes that prospect dubious. So for now we have to live with what we’ve got, and with little in the way of competition that means Blazing Angels 2. Though it falls well short of greatness it does manage to be pretty good, and the multitude of upgrades make for a huge improvement over the original. The campaign is a little on the easy and short side, but it’s a generally enjoyable ride that’s not without its moments, while the serviceable multiplayer adds a bit more bang per buck. This is definitely a step in the right direction, and perhaps if there’s a Blazing Angels 3 they’ll finally get it right.

But in the end, Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII simply isn't worth the price of admission. We'd like to recommend it for fans of the original, but even then, there are some fantastic titles sitting on the shelves right now. While this one isn't bad at all, the AI is questionable, the combat is plagued by some lame-duck special effects, the control and collision detection is erratic, and your wingmen simply don't live up to expectations. The positives do outweigh the negatives, thanks mostly to a deep and entertaining upgrade system and that arcade-style accessibility, but there are certainly better titles to be had. Chances are, you're already behind on all the greatness from 2007, and while we'd like to reiterate that Secret Missions of WWII is a pretty good game, we have to conclude it's not a "must-have" title. For flight aficionados, though, it'll make for a good rental.

Klar, das Rumfliegen und -ballern macht Laune, und die Missionen sind hübsch abwechslungsreich. Aber warum haben sich die Entwickler nicht mehr Mühe bei der Balance gegeben? Die kurzweilige Action wird schnell zum Gamepad-Killer, wenn ich eine Mission auch beim zehnten Anlauf nicht schaffe. Außerdem verstehe ich nicht, wieso die Entwickler die Maus- und Tastatur-Steuerung derart in den Sand gesetzt haben. Beim Vorgänger hat's doch auch geklappt.

If you’ve not played a flying game before and have the impression that they are mind numbingly boring with added beeping then perhaps the arcade antics of Blazing Angels 2 could sway you. I recommend this game to anyone with an interest in flying games and obviously those who don’t should either rent first or try the marketplace demo. Although I must say there’s a lot more variety than the demo suggests.

Blazing Angels 2 is superior to the original game in every respect, but it's still not as amazing as the Xbox classic Crimson Skies. Still, for fans of the abandoned flight genre or of the original Blazing Angels, this game would be a fantastic addition to the library.

As a sequel, Blazing Angels 2 is a much better game than the original but its few problems keep this game from being an excellent arcade-styled aerial combat game for the PS3. While the missions are fun and the online multiplayer more than adequate, the game can be completed with very little trouble. If you enjoyed the first game you will certainly like this one even more.

While it's a more arcade-like take on the Nazi conflict, Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII is enjoyable, albeit easy. The game is somewhat unbalanced thanks to the numerous weapon pickups, wingmen that aren't particularly useful, and large numbers of ineffectual opponents. However, there is some fun to be had, even if you find yourself blowing through the single player missions and taking out the limited number of pilots online via multiplayer.

Das Spiel bringt frischen Wind in eine eigentlich abgenudelte Thematik. Zweiter Weltkrieg einmal anders, nämlich als Fantasie-Nummer: Die Geschichte um Geheimwaffen und ihre abwechslungsreichen Flüge in bis dato unbekannten Prototypen spielt lässig und virtuos mit der Historie. Die Grafik ist besser als beim Vorgänger, aber schlechter als heute üblich. Zudem trüben englisch redende Sprecher, gelegentliche Bildfehler und eine etwas ungenaue Kollisionsabfrage das eigentlich gute Bild. Flugzeugfans sollten keine Simulation erwarten, sondern kurzweilige Fliegerei mit viel Action und einigen witzigen Ideen - mehr als "befriedigend" ist das aber nicht.

Hopefully UbiSoft can take a look back at Blazing Angels and bring out a sequel or another aerial combat title that is more than just eye candy. Until that happens continue to enjoy Crimson Skies for all your online aerial combat needs.

Sortir une suite avec les mêmes défauts et qualités que le jeu original, ça marche si la balance s'équilibrait à peu près au départ, ce qui n'était pas le cas de Blazing Angels. Du coup, ce Secret Missions Of WWII fait plus figure d'add-on de luxe et sans surprise que de suite supposée pousser le concept plus loin. Si vous avez pu passer outre les défauts du grand frère, vous pouvez toujours tenter votre chance avec le cadet de la fratrie qui a cru bon de se pourrir son verrouillage de caméra. Les autres, puisque vous n'avez rien de mieux à faire, allez donc à la pharmacie et ramenez-moi des chewing-gums à la nicotine. Allez, plus vite que ça !

If you're a huge fan of arcade-style combat flight games and desperately need something new to sate your appetite, you may well find that Blazing Angels is worth persevering with. However, "persevering" is a key word - and despite the game's best efforts, the majority of players will simply find that the effort, patience and anger management skills being demanded of them are vastly disproportionate to the rewards on offer.

Du coup, ce Secret Missions Of WWII fait plus figure d'add-on de luxe et sans surprise que de suite supposée pousser le concept plus loin. Si vous avez pu passer outre les défauts du grand frère, vous pouvez toujours tenter votre chance avec le cadet de la fratrie qui a cru bon de se pourrir son verrouillage de caméra. Les autres, puisque vous n'avez rien de mieux à faire, allez donc à la pharmacie et ramenez-moi des chewing-gums à la nicotine. Allez, plus vite que ça !

Even if you'd forgive all the technical faults of Blazing Angels 2, you'd still end up with a below average game weighted down by utterly silly missions, poor presentation (such as lieutenant written as leftenant) and clumsy gameplay. When you add up all the technical issues to the mix, the end result is a box that should be handled like a barrel of radioactive waste. It's sad as I very much like arcade style air combat games, but no amount of post-release patching will save this one due to the deep flaws in the actual mission design and story.
