Sunset Runner
Description
Sunset Runner is an obstacle game created for the gamma 256 competition (Kokoromi/Montreal International Game Summit/Society for Arts). The player controls a character who has to save his best friend before he is run over by a train. While running forward, the distance meter constantly counting down, players need to duck or jump quickly to avoid obstacles. Reach the front of the train before the distance meter reaches zero to save the friend.
Rules required the game's resolution not to exceed 256x256 pixels maximum, it had to run on Windows XP and be playable with an Xbox 360 controller. The theme for the competition was "unusual aspect ratios".
