Downfall
Description official description
Downfall is an independent point-and-click adventure game with a distinct horror theme. When the couple Joe and Ivy Davis seeks shelter at the Quiet Haven Hotel, Ivy experiences a panic attack. Unable to take control, it gets worse and she eventually disappears. Joe is left behind and notices something strange is going on at the hotel, with a storm raging outside. While exploring the hotel, he discovers a party where the birthday girl keeps crying, surrounded by silent guests, voices come out of the walls and the people have strange dreams.
Players guide Joe and eventually multiple characters through more than 70 hand-drawn locations. Parts of the scenery are often entirely in black and white, only with vague hints of colour and red splashes of blood. There are many horror elements with explicit scenes, and the character is controlled through the mouse where the two buttons are use to interact with or examine an object. Items are stored in an inventory where they can be combined or used in the environment.
