Reaper Arena

Reaper Arena is a side-scrolling action game wherein the player takes the role of a nameless commando sent on missions pertaining to national security. Over the course of several assignments they'll be tasked with neutralizing a number of threats to the country, ranging from pyromaniacs to velociraptors.

Gameplay largely takes the form of a platformer, jumping and climbing across the terrain while doing one's best to undermine the enemies attempts on the commando's life. Not being an immortal a close eye will have to be paid to the health bar, which can only be restored with medical bags scattered through the levels. As the game progresses the player will stumble upon a number of additional weapons, providing them with a personal armory ranging from a bayonet to a rocket launcher.

The player is typically required to eliminate every enemy present in the level in order to advance to the next, violence being clearly emphasized over subtlety. As a rule civilians must be protected whenever they're present, as their death will signal the end of the game.

As the player progresses enemies will become more difficult to combat, being faster and better armed than their predecessors, and not being afraid to use innocents in a violent manner to further their ends.
