The Malkari system contained thriving planets and an advanced civilization--but that was before a rogue star entered the system, lethally scrambling the gravitational forces. Warped orbits sent planets careening into each other, destroying all traces of life. Wellā¦almost all traces of life.
Eons later, the only remains of the Malkari system are some 100 asteroids drifting through space. Although barren, each asteroid holds a pulse of life buried deep within it, in the form of a genetic replicator. The Malkarians saw their doom coming and engineered the replicators so their civilization could one day be reborn and rebuilt. That time has come and the long-dead Malkarians have finally found their savior--you.
