Force Majeure II: The Zone
Description official description
Force Majeure II: The Zone is a point-and-click adventure game set in a ruined city. The game is played in from a first person perspective and the identity of the protagonist is not known.
The game starts with the protagonist going home from work as usual and suddenly hearing sirens. Believing that some sort of disaster or attack is taking place to the city, he or she finds refuge in an old air-raid shelter. When leaving the shelter, the city is no longer there. Instead there is a barren landscape with ruined buildings where various surreal or philosophical themes are explored.
The game was released on CD-ROM in 2005 by the Swedish publisher Fabel Kommunikation as part of a book series on storytelling. A downloadable version aimed at the US market was published by Interacting Arts later that year along with a demo. An expansion/patch was released in early 2006. The cover and CD print of the boxed release had Swedish text, but the actual game was in English.

Trivia
Predecessor
Was there a Force Majeure I? Yes, but it was not a computer game. Quote from the game's website:
Force Majeure I was a live role-play where participants physically enacted the first part of the story that was continued in Force Majeure II: The Zone. In the first installment of the series, people were trapped in utterly dark air-raid shelter for two hours, speculating and arguing about what had happened outside. The Zone is what happened outside.
Technology
Force Majeure II: The Zone was possibly the first adventure game to feature binaural beats which is a form of psychoactive sound programming, claimed to affect brain wave frequency patterns.
The game displays warnings before the start of such sequences and advise the player not to go through "if you are subject to any forms of seizure or epilepsy, using a pacemaker, are suffering of cardiac arrhythmia or other heart disorders or are taking stimulants, psychoactive drugs or tranquilizers."
