Description official descriptions

Takeda 3 is the 3rd game in the Takeda strategy game series. Like its predecessors, the player takes on the role of a powerful feudal lord (Daimyo) in 16th century Japan. This game lets players choose to play one of 25 clan rulers, which is different than the previous games. The overall goal of the game is to become Shogun, the ultimate military leader of all Japan.

Choose from a pre-set army, or construct a new one by recruiting Generals and troops. Each General gains additional abilities with experience and has his (or her) ambitions and motivations, so it is important to reward them with medals, special titles and items to keep them loyal and happy. Various types of warriors are available in the game including cavalry troops, spearmen, swordsmen, riflemen, archers and ninjas.

In addition to actual command duties, the player will need to design and construct communities, manage castles and territories as well as engage in diplomatic relations with other clans.

Takeda 3 has two main modes with sub-screens for the various parts:* Turn-based World Mode: Build castles, barracks, markets and farms. Gather armies and send them to battle, or send ninja fighters on secret missions. In the "Palace", make important decisions regarding territories, negotiating alliances with other clans, and handling marriage proposals.

  • Real-Time Battle Mode: This mode becomes active automatically whenever two armies meet in World Mode. Before the battle actually begins, use a tactical screen to set up the army formation, choose the time of the main and surprise attacks. Then deploy everyone and watch the outcome.

There are three time periods and three levels of difficulty. The game also offers multiplay so that two players can battle their separate armies head-to-head.
