Vampireville
Description official description
A real state agent is sent to evaluate an old mansion, after his colleague went mad while on the same assignment. After arriving and meeting some of its odd residents, he stays at the guest room and soon starts to have bizarre experiences and supernatural encounters that prompt him to investigate the many rooms of the place and solve all the mysteries surrounding the ancient house.
Vampireville is a hidden object game with elements of the adventure genre that pokes fun at horror movie conventions, using the familiar NevoSoft engine used on several previous games of the same type, but with the addition of 3D models for the main characters.
Most of the time, the player has to complete a series of tasks on locations related to the plot, where usually the objective is to find and click on several objects from a list displayed at the top of the screen. In some cases, the task is an action that has to be performed by clicking on interactive hotspots on specific portions of the scenery, or by collecting and using inventory objects stored on a tray at the top-left. Objects can be concealed behind curtains, or stored inside cabinets and other places that have to be opened or moved out of the way to reveal the items. The hint button shows the position of one of the required objects when activated, but takes some time to recharge after use.
Some puzzles take place on separate screens with versions of the classic mini-games found on many other hidden object titles, where the player has to set all the gears inside a clockwork mechanism, move blocks inside a restricted space to create an exit path for a special piece, unscramble pictures and messages, flip matching pairs of cards on a memory game and complete other similar challenges.
