Theatre of War 2: Kursk 1943
Description official description
Theatre of War 2: Kursk 1943 is a stand-alone expansion to Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 and is set during the decisive WWII battle of Kursk.
The game features two campaigns, German and Soviet, with nine major battles each. During the first, the player takes control over the German division Grossdeutschland Kampfgruppe, the second one focuses on the Soviet 67th Guards Rifle Division and 3rd Mechanized Corps.
The Theatre of War series sports a high degree of realism, and this iteration has the option to turn on the display of impact vectors. When zooming in on a damaged unit, these will be shown together with projectile information.
Another novelty are victory points, which are rewarded for the elimination of enemy soldiers and armor, and the completion of orders received during a battle from High Command. These victory points can be spent on reinforcements, air support and artillery fire. However, the more points still available at mission end, the higher the player's military skill level.
