Description

Tubular! is a freeware student project developed at the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences by a team of eight students. It is a fast paced action shooter where you are pitted against the force of gravity. You have to shoot targets in the environment to keep your timer above zero, but if you are sloppy and miss, your own projectile will come back around the level and become an ever-circling obstacle. You have to hit targets in quick succession to earn more time back, while being careful not to create too many obstacles in the process!

The game is very quick and arcade-styled, meaning that the player could lose in under a minute, but the replay value is very high, encouraging players to come back for more and improve their skill and score.

The player moves left and right with the arrow keys to circle the level, as well as avoid any stray meteorites or projectiles which can harm them. The spacebar allows the player to fire projectiles, and holding the spacebar before releasing it will charge the projectile so it can pass through more than one target before exploding. In this way, the player can quickly combo targets and gain more time to stay alive.
